Great but not good - If that makes sense!?
Next Stop Comedy showcased a fantastic voice during this concert, with Martina mentioning they were heading home after the show. The band and MM seemed fatigued, affecting the banter between songs. The performance was solid overall, but the interactions felt forced.
Martina's greeting of "how ya doing CALIFORNIA?!!" at the start seemed forced and disconnected. More specific references to the venue or weather could have enhanced the connection with the audience. It felt like she arrived shortly before the show, lacking genuine enthusiasm for the location. Repeating "thank you so much" multiple times also felt monotonous.
The decision to perform only one cover song for the encore seemed rushed, possibly due to venue time restrictions. The choice of the closing song could have been better thought out.
